FooBox is Live!

After months and month of development, testing, rewriting, pulling hair, testing, screaming into pillows, etc, etc FooBox is now officially live! Thanks to my fellow team mates, Steve (who wrote the amazing javascript and CSS behind the scenes) and to Adam who tested, marketed and promoted it. All the hard work has finally paid off, and I think FooBox is the best lightbox plugin out on the interwebs at the moment. And not just from a visual point of view, but also from a functional point of view. Check out the responsive demo and see how it changes to scale on an iPhone.

So What Is FooBox?

Simple. Click an image below and see what happens!

Available Licenses

We are releasing FooBox with 2 licenses to start. A single site license ($17) and a unlimited business license ($47).  Check out the pricing options and see what you get for your hard earned cash. We are also working on a developer license, so you will be able to include FooBox within a theme or plugin that you sell. If you are keen to use FooBox, please contact us and we can start working together to make your products even more awesome by including FooBox.

Where Can I Buy This?

Head on over to http://getfoobox.com and get yourself a copy. Oh yes, you can also become an affiliate and earn 33% of sales by promoting it on your site. (We also have an option to include an affiliate link when the FooBox is displayed)

Is it possible to fit / fill the screen of an ipad when viewing an image with the FooBox Lightbox?

Is it touch sensitive ? / Can I see a gallery and slide through it just by using my finger or is it necessary to tap on the arrows?

Love this lightbox! I bought a business license and I'm using it with Justified Image Grid. Can't wait for it to support video and possibly put a buy link to my SmugMug gallery for images on my photo blog sometime in the future. It looks like 1.2 just came out, but Wordpress can't update it automatically and I can't find a manual download for it. Where should I ask for technical support?

Looks good.  Is there any way to use the social icons link to a ecommerce setup?  I want to use FooBax and sell the photos.

@EnriquedeDigitolina The FooBox will always resize to fit the device. There is a an option to expand the image to fill the screen too.

It responds to touch events so you can swipe through the images in the gallery so no need to tap the arrows

@aaronpriest hi there - you can login to getfoobox.com and download v1.2. I also just tested the update via the backend and it went through fine - so perhaps try that again. Goto getfoobox.com and you will see a link from there to the support forums. Also - if you are using JIG, there are some changes that need to be made to it, so drop us a ticket and I can tell you how to sort it all out - thanks for the support

Well, I see the 1.2 update prompt in Wordpress mysteriously disappeared this morning, so maybe you are still working on it... :-P

@matthewmcguire there is no way to do this at the moment, but we have plans to allow for custom HTML to be shown with the images which would allow you to create a "shopping cart" type of functionality

@LaineyMane not yet - but we have already started on V2 which supports video and HTML

@themergency Great I will look forward to it.  I am going to purchase soon.  I am trying to build/host my own photos.  I have smugmug until January so if possible I would love to see custom HTML option by the end of the year.  Nice work on the plugin BTW it really makes a photo gallery look nice.
